First established in 1836, Emu Bottom is the oldest homestead in Victoria and offers a unique, heritage setting for rustic, country weddings all the while being just outside of Melbourne. Located in the centre of 62 acres of working farmlands & native Australian greenery, this iconic property is a popular choice amongst couples planning a relaxed, regional wedding.
Managed by The Epicurean Group, who are famed for Italian ‘cucina’ style cuisine – fresh, regional, seasonal and delicious produce prepared with rustic and authentic flair. Our menus marry modern Australian inspirations with bountiful Mediterranean influences. Our menu’s are sophisticated yet relaxed, designed with colourful generous share platters that get guests mingling and connecting with each other and the food.
The Epicurean Emu Bottom offers two wedding venues; The Homestead with sprawling lawns & manicured gardens suitable also for Alfresco and Marquee style weddings, as well as The Woolshed built in 1854 from rough hewn red gum slabs and features exposed timbers beams and a large stone fireplace for the cooler months.

I would like to welcome you and introduce myself as the Director of Sales for The Epicurean Group. Since the initial stages of planning and opening our home at The Epicurean Red Hill, we have integrated multiple amazing properties across the Mornington Peninsula & Macedon Ranges, including The Epicurean Emu Bottom, The Epicurean Mantons Creek, Johnny Ripe Main Ridge and our newest addition in Balnarring.
